Care in the Community

The provision of home care is an extension of our services in order to be able to provide a total package for individuals who are not ready to come into a care home yet but needs some care assistance in their homes.

We offer a “Roaming” facility to people within a 20 mile radius.

Care workers make visits at an agreed time to give support with personal care washing, (shaving {not we shaving}, oral care, dressing, toileting, continence care, feeding, assistance with medication from a medi-pack/doset box/blister pack and assistance with getting up and going to bed) and practical tasks (making or changing bed, shopping, light domestic cleaning bed, shopping, light domestic cleaning, laundry and light ironing, preparing meals, paying bills and collecting pension)

We also offer flexible night care service if this is required and individuals can chose from:

Awake – This service is for individuals who need frequent attention during the night.

Sitting – This service is for those who may need some assistance in the night and the carer will expect only to be called periodically during the night.

Sleeping – This service ensures that the individuals is not left along during the night. For this service, a bed is expected to be provided for the care worker.

Other services available to domiciliary individuals include: daycare with local pick-up and drop service, lunch break and long weekend break.
